Housing group pledge their support for women’s day

Staff showing their support for International Women's Day 2019

Incommunities’ workers showed their support for International Women’s Day (8th March) by making their own equality pledges.

They displayed their messages on ‘pledge walls’ at four of the housing group’s sites including The Quays to highlight their commitment to promoting equality, tackling discrimination and celebrating women’s achievements.

The theme of International Women’s Day 2019 is a call for action for ‘gender balance’ in building a more equal workplace and society.

The ‘pledge’ event was organised by the housing group’s Equality Steering Group. Staff from Incommunities’ partners, Sadeh Lok, also ran a similar event at their Huddersfield base.

Geraldine Howley, Incommunities’ Group Chief Executive, said: "Incommunities Group is proud to again be active partners in International Women’s Day.

"As an inclusive employer we are committed to promoting equality and diversity and helping both female and male staff achieve their work goals.

"This year we are proud to join a host of events across Bradford district over several days celebrating the contribution of women from all walks of life."
