Domestic Abuse Help - Ask for 'ANI'

Ask for 'ANI' government Domestic Abuse support scheme

Codeword scheme #YouAreNotAlone

From today (14 January), victims of domestic abuse will be able to access much needed support from thousands of pharmacies across the UK, backed by the government.

If you are experiencing domestic abuse and need immediate help, look out for ‘ANI’ posters on participating pharmacy windows supporting the scheme.

‘ANI’ stands for Action Needed Immediately but also phonetically sounds like the name Annie. If a pharmacy has the ‘Ask for ANI’ logo on display, it means they’re ready to help. They will offer you a private space, provide a phone and ask if you need support from the police or other domestic abuse support services. victims of domestic abuse are also be able to safe spaces at Boots and Morrison’s pharmacies consultation rooms where they can contact specialist domestic abuse services for support and advice.
